What’s up RI DECA!?

My name is Jonah Jimenez, and I’m going to be a senior at Cranston High School West! I’m stepping into the role of your Rhode Island DECA State President for the 2026-2027 year, and I can’t wait for you to see what we have in store.

Going into my fourth year, I couldn’t be happier to serve in this role. DECA has taught me so much, and I hope to give back by doing everything I believe will help RI DECA reach its full potential. Without all of you, none of this would be possible, so now it’s my turn to give it all back.

Outside of DECA, I own my own business and love staying busy, whether it’s trading, wrestling, hiking, working, or, of course, being a gym bro. I always find myself doing something new every day and staying open to new opportunities.

I’m certain this year won’t disappoint and in the end, my goal is for everyone to walk away with something valuable. Whether that’s a friendship, a new skill, a shot at ICDC, or life long memories, I want you to be able to say that RI DECA made an impact on your life. Instead of chasing the next big thing, we should be it. Let’s raise the bar and show everyone what RI DECA is capable of.
